Thread veins are common and have many causes such as ageing, sun damage, trauma and outdoor pursuits.They can appear anywhere on the body but are most common on the face. Electrolysis works by destroying the blood vessel using heat. It is worth noting that although other vessels can form, the ones that are treated will not re appear.

Warm wax is applied with a spatula in the direction of the hair and removed by using either a paper or fabric strip. Hot wax is a much thicker wax almost like treacle that is applied with a spoon and worked with and against the hair growth. It is left to harden and then removed.

Hot wax is suitable if your skin is very sensitive.

Hair must be at least 1cm long for either waxing treatment. It is not advisable to have a sauna, steam or any other heat treatment after any waxing for at least 12 hours.

All waxing must be carried out 24 hours before any tanning treatment.

IP HAIR REMOVAL

Ellipse Intense Pulsed Light treatment is a progressive hair
removal treatment, results of up to 80% hair removal can be
achieved after a course of 6 treatments. IPL works on the
pigment of the hair being turned into heat and quarterizing the
follicle, this is progressive, so a 4-6 weekly treatment is required.
IPL hair removal will only work where the hair is darker than the
skin, unfortunately it is not successful on blonde hair.
